Trump aides review CDC coronavirus reports to better align with president’s upbeat messaging: report – Fox News

The reporting sent new shockwaves all over Democratic and scientific circles with some calling for Caputo’s ouster.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., stated Saturday that “political appointees making an attempt to interfere in the COVID-19 response and suppress public overall health officers should really be eradicated from their posts. Right away.”

Rep. Bill Pascrell, D-N.J., blasted the “doctoring of CDC reviews” on the virus and said the GOP “is unfit to govern and a danger to your everyday living.”

“President Trump has often listened to the scientists and health-related industry experts, like Dr. Fauci and Dr. Redfield, in crafting his unparalleled response to the coronavirus,” Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh instructed Fox News.
