Man, 19, shot after firing at police; two officers injured, authorities say – Chicago Tribune

Online video of the struggle at the Grand Avenue Red Line station rapidly went viral following it appeared to clearly show the officers struggle to handcuff a man when one particular of them consistently yelled “stop resisting” and then “shoot him.”

Mayor Lori Lightfoot identified as the online video “extremely disturbing.” Cook County prosecutors on Sunday dropped prison charges against the man, who remained hospitalized Sunday at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare facility.
