Gunfire exchanged in DMZ across border between North and South Korea – CNN


Seoul (CNN)North Korea fired gunshots at the wall of a South Korean guard post in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a buffer space which separates the two countries, on Sunday, and the South fired back, according to its military services.

The North Korean gunfire did not injure any one or trigger any discernible damage to the guard put up or its tools, said South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Employees (JCS). Numerous bullets from the North had been fired into the DMZ at seven:forty one a.m. area time Sunday, the JCS said in a textual content concept to push.
The South Korean armed service responded by broadcasting a verbal warning and returning hearth twice, in accordance to protocol outlined in the reaction handbook and on the judgment of the area commander, in accordance to the JCS statement.
The South Korean armed service reported that “the military services is in the procedure of identifying scenarios around the navy interaction line with the North and protecting against any extra scenarios from developing.”
