Magician and animal coach Roy Horn, of the legendary Las Vegas duoSiegfied and Roy,died Friday from complications linked to COVID-19. Horn tested favourable past week. He was 75.
“The globe has misplaced a single of the greats of magic, but I have shed my best friend,” Siegfried Fischbacher claimed of his husband or wife in a statement.
“Roy was a fighter his full lifetime including during these last days. I give my heartfelt appreciation to the staff of medical practitioners, nurses and staff members at Mountain View Hospital who labored heroically against this insidious virus that in the end took Roy’s lifestyle.”
Roy Horn was born in Germany in 1944. He and Siegfried started their act in Las Vegas in 1967. In 1989 they started a fourteen-calendar year run at the Mirage Vacation resort carrying out illusions with unique animals, creating tigers, lions, even elephants vanish and reappear.
In October of 2003, Roy Horn was undertaking with a four hundred-pound white tiger named Mantecore when the excellent cat grabbed him by the throat right before a stunned audience and dragged him offstage. Horn suffered a stroke and paralysis.
