A New York City police officer who shoved a protester to the pavement is arrested – CNN


(CNN)The NYPD officer who was caught on camera shoving a female to the pavement all through anti-law enforcement brutality protests that roiled New York Metropolis past week was billed with assault by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office on Tuesday.

Officer Vincent D’Andraia, 28, is the initially NYPD officer to confront felony costs from the protests in reaction to the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

D’Andraia, was caught on cell cellular phone video aggressively shoving Dounya Zayer, 20, throughout a demonstration near the Barclays Centre.
Zayer was in the street when the officer “told her to shift,” prosecutors reported.
“As she requested why, the defendant allegedly smacked her cell mobile phone out of her hand, and violently shoved her to the floor, in accordance the investigation,” prosecutors stated. “She can be observed rolling on the street and into a control. Meanwhile, the defendant and fellow officers can be observed to go on going for walks.”
